Loft bedroom

The Morgan Sheridan bed in this loft conversion is raised so that great views through the windows can be enjoyed and it also creates ample storage space underneath. The scheme features many different shades of blue which contrast with the wooden flooring and window frames.

Highland bedroom

Vibrant Fair Isle-inspired quilts, throws and cushions are teamed with rustic furniture for a vintage look. Grey walls highlight a white Feather & Black wrought-iron bed dressed with a Catherine Tough patchwork throw and knits, some traditional, some updated with details like pompoms. A painting and baskets complete the look.

Vintage needlework bedroom

Antique styles of needlework in ivory, leaf and rose with subtle French knots and pintucks for texture create a pretty room. New England-style blue bedroom

Feminine bedroom

Cottage bedroom

Create some cottage charm in your bedroom, with white walls and tongue-and-groove panelling from Easipanel. Introduce striped vintage stripes with this blind and add a blue bedspread onto crisp, white bed linen from The White Company. Accessorise the room with toy sailing boats and metal signs, to emphasise the coastal theme.

Chinoiserie boudoir

You can opt for handpainted wallpaper but for a fraction of the cost you could commission a piece of wall art like this outstanding Chinoiserie-inspired flora and bird design for your bedroom. Choose a piece on MDF panels so it can be moved with you. Gilt mirrors, twinkling chandeliers, fringed shawls and sequin cushions keep this a firmly feminine boudoir.
